When a US $1 Dollar collector from Paris, France approached me with intent to commission a banknote for his collection, I was beyond words with appreciation at the opportunity.

This collector has amassed an expansive collection of artworks with the core theme being the use of the United States $1 Dollar. With works of many who continue to inspire my own.

“DOLLART” was the perfect word inception to capture the essence of the artwork I would soon bring to life. In talking with this collector, the simplicity of highlighting his collection was eloquently reduced in this mashing of words. Combining his affection for the DOLLAR with his enamoration of ART.

It was an honor to produce this art piece for you. This felt less like a commission and more of a collaborative extension of my existing mission and intentions.
